About OCFS Human Services Call Center

The Human Services Call Center (HSCC), a division of the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, provides telephone customer service on behalf of ten New York State agencies. Established in 2013 as part of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Consolidated Call Center Project, the Schenectady-based HSCC fields an average of 4,000 calls each day on 35 lines of business. The HSCC’s highly-trained call center representatives provide information about everything from applying for college tuition assistance to becoming a certified Emergency Medical Technician.
